Program Overview

This program is for students who already hold a masters degree in law and have legal background and expect to further their study on comparative law. Students will be allocated to a supervisor after enrollment depending on their research interest.

Admission Requirements

This program is only open to foreign applicants who already have a masters degree in law; and have priority with relevant working experience in legal professions.

Application Documents

Please send the following documents to our email before the deadline.

1. A scan of CUPL application form (written in English)

2. A color copy / scan of your valid passport

3. A color copy of an original degree certificate

4. Transcript of Records / list of grades (written in Chinese or English)

*Documents (including diploma and transcripts) in other languages must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

5. English proficiency test results (TOFEL: 90; Academic IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5 overall and a minimum score of 5.5 on individual parts of the test)

*Applicants from English-speaking countries or holding a degree from an English-taught program can be exempted from this requirement.

6. Statement of purpose (motivation letter)

7. Resume / Curriculum vitae

8. Two recommendation letters (written in Chinese or English)

9. Physical examination results or report (This document is to be submitted at the latest upon enrollment)

10. A copy of valid HSK Certificate (if available)

It's highly recommended that the provided documents are in PDF format, especially the application form and letters. Please arrange them in sequence with number in the document name to make everything organized and clear.
