A Field Trip to the Summer Palace
On the afternoon of 23rd October, School of International Studies organized a field trip to the Summer Palace for 31 international students, for whom this is a good opportunity to get acquaintance with new friends and explore more about the renowned Chinese royal garden.
As a Qing-dynasty imperial garden featuring palaces, hills, temples and lakes, the Summer Palace is famous for its perfect combination of traditional architecture and natural beauty. The weather was beautiful on the sunny afternoon and students were fascinated by the impressive attractions and landscape of the Summer Palace. Some of them climbed to the top of Longevity Hill and got a whole view of the magnificent Kunming Lake, others then rent a boat to get into the surroundings from the lake and enjoy the sunshine and breeze.
